A schedule item can hold as many lists as you need — lists of people and lists of documents. Each list has a name you choose, and attendees see each one as its own labelled group on the session.
Every new schedule item starts with a people list called Speakers and a documents list called Documents. If a session has people in different roles — presenters, facilitators, moderators — you can give each role its own list instead of putting everyone under one heading. The same goes for files: Slides and Handouts can be lists of their own.
With lists, you can:
Add as many lists of people and documents as a session needs
Name each list to match the words your event already uses
Put the lists in the order you want attendees to see them
Fill people lists one at a time in the editor, or in bulk from a CSV import
Adding a person to a schedule item
You can create a new person or pick someone already in your app, and the same profile can appear on as many sessions as you like. Follow these instructions.
Adding a people list
When one heading can't cover everyone on a session, add a second list and name it for the role. Follow these instructions.
Renaming a list
The list's name is the heading attendees see, and you can change it at any time. Follow these instructions.
Reordering lists
Attendees see the lists in the order you put them in, so you can lead with whichever group matters most. Follow these instructions.
Deleting a list
Deleting a list takes it off this session without deleting anyone from your app. Follow these instructions.
Removing one person from a list
To take a single person off a session rather than the whole list, remove just that person. Follow these instructions.
Editing a person on a list
You can fix a title, a photo or a bio without leaving the schedule item. Follow these instructions.
Lists of documents
Documents lists work the same way as people lists, and you add and manage them with the same buttons. Follow these instructions.
Filling people lists from a CSV import
If you have a lot of sessions, you can attach people to all of them from a spreadsheet instead of one at a time. Follow these instructions.
Importing into named lists from a CSV
A heading like People IDs: Moderators fills a named list, so one file can fill several lists per session. Follow these instructions.
Updating people lists with a re-import
Importing the same page again replaces the lists your file includes, so it's worth knowing which columns change what before you upload. Read what a re-import does.
Exporting people lists
An export gives you one column per list name, which makes it a good starting point for bulk changes. Follow these instructions.
Generating a Unique ID with a formula
A People CSV needs a Unique ID for everyone, and a spreadsheet formula can build them from the names you already have. Follow these instructions.
Good to know
Two lists on the same schedule item can't share a name. Capitals don't count, so "Slides" and "slides" are the same name.
People lists and documents lists are counted separately, so one session can have a people list called Slides and a documents list called Slides.
A list with nobody in it doesn't show up in the app.
Adding someone to a session doesn't tie them to it. The same person can be on as many sessions as you need, and removing them from one leaves the others alone.
Lists of documents can't be imported or exported through a CSV. Import your sessions first, then add documents in the editor.
