Copy an existing page to another app

Duplicate a page within the same app or copy it to another app you can edit

If you manage multiple Yapp apps, you can copy a page from one app to another β€” or duplicate a page within the same app β€” instead of rebuilding it from scratch. This is handy when you've set up a complex Schedule, People, or Rich Text page and want the same structure in another event or training app.

What gets copied

Copying a page brings over the page's structure and admin-curated content. That includes schedule items and tracks, list items, form questions, documents, people attached to the page, bookmarks, and images.

Attendee-generated content is not copied. Social feed posts, poll responses, crowd pics, and feed entries stay in the source app.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the app you want to copy the page into in the editor.

  2. Click Add Page in the left sidebar.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page list and select Copy an Existing Page.

  4. Choose the source app β€” the app that contains the page you want to copy. It defaults to the app you're currently editing. Archived apps appear in a separate section.

  5. Choose the source page from the selected app.

  6. Edit the new page title if you'd like. It defaults to Copy of {original title}.

  7. Click Copy Page.

The copy runs in the background. When it finishes, you'll see a success notification with a link to the new page. The copied page is added at the end of the page list in the destination app.

Good to know

  • You can only copy pages between apps you have permission to edit β€” apps you own directly, or apps you're a team member on.

  • Large pages (hundreds of schedule items or list items) can take up to a few minutes to copy. The progress indicator will show a spinner while the system is working and let you know when it's done.

  • Copied images and documents are shared between the source and destination apps rather than duplicated.

  • Publish your app for the new page to appear for mobile users.
