No Private Messaging in the App
At this time, Yapp does not support direct or private messaging between users within the app.
How Communication Works Instead
Public Interaction:
Communication happens through the Social Feed — a shared space where all attendees can post updates and comment on each other’s posts. Everything here is visible to everyone who has access to the app.Private Connections outside Yapp:
Attendees can contact each other using the information listed on the People page. This information is provided by the app creator and may include names, roles, email addresses, or other details.
Optional Profile Editing:
App creators can also enable an option that lets attendees update their own profiles. If enabled, users can choose how they want to be contacted (e.g., adding a phone number, LinkedIn profile, or other contact method).
This setup offers a balance between public community engagement and the option for private follow-up, depending on what users are comfortable sharing.
