Adding a countdown to a Rich Text document

Count down to your event, a deadline, or any date and time

A countdown counts down live on your users' phones — to the start of your event, a registration deadline, or anything else with a date attached.

Adding a countdown

  1. Click Edit on your Rich Text page, then Insert in the toolbar, and choose Countdown. (To place it at an exact spot between two paragraphs, use the + in the left margin instead.)

  2. Pick the Date and Time you are counting down to. The time zone in use is shown just below — it follows your app's time zone.

  3. Type a Message when it ends. This replaces the numbers once the moment arrives. If you leave it blank, it reads "The wait is over!".

  4. Click Save.

Changing how it looks

Click the countdown to select it, and its options appear in the toolbar at the bottom.

  • Style — choose from Plain, Tiles, Flip, Rings and Digital.

  • Format — show days, hours, minutes and seconds, or stop at minutes.

  • Color — leave it on Auto to follow your app's theme, or pick your own.

Click the countdown, then click the pencil icon to change the date, time or end message.
